模具质量检测中心是“中国轻工（余姚）模具城管委会”下属的一家服务型机构．成立主要目的是以独立的地位为模具生产企业和模具使用企业提供模具质量、技术咨询服务．中心有高挡的材料成分分析设备、大型金相显微镜、超声波探伤仪器、Ｘ射线探伤仪器、磁粉探伤机等设备，可以检测模具材料的组织和成分，并为委托单位出具质量检测报告，为外地模具采购单位提供模具质量监理服务.为余姚及周遍地区的模具行业健康发展做好服务工作。
